The
philosophy of work that the industry has maintained since its beginnings is
of cultivation crafts, in the following aspects: 1.-

genetic manipulation, no biotechnology, etc., as long as scientific
checks aren’t made to ensure that the obtained products are generally totally
harmless and specifically for the health of consumers, and as long as society
doesn’t approve. 4.- The
Galician Estuaries are areas of huge production, that is, here a very
important outcrop of plankton is found, from which the cultivation is
extensive, without manipulating the environment nor artificial
feeding. Solely placing the mussels in the
cultivation ropes in the most efficient way so that they obtain the best nourishment
from the sea, the phytoplankton. 5.- The health
of the Galician Mussel is totally guaranteed, and there will be no use of
medicines, vaccines or any other pharmalogical or chemical products,
preventative or curative, in its cultivation and handling. 6.- Fresh,
with no added preservatives. That
is how the Galician Mussel will be marketed, and in 100% recyclable
containers. In
summary, we recognise the right to equality for all consumers to be able to
get a product of very high nutritional quality at the most reasonable price.
